Undaunted Hearts

Once upon a time, this place was gorgeous

It’s my Vietnam – the land of amity

In the blue sky, there sang so many birds

On paddy fields, farmers worked happily.

Oh my motherland! Why is joy so short?

Invaders came here, destroyed everything

Villages were burned, people had been shot,

Mothers lost sons, kids were born orphaning

Heroic farmers they stood up and fought

Enemy guns could not beat a country

Blissfully, we saved the things which are ours,

The land, sea and islands of ancestry

Undaunted hearts, they will fight ‘til the end

We are Vietnamese, together we stand.
